Deponti Proudly Supports Richard Kelly's Inspiring Charity Ride: Le Tour Deponti

At Deponti, we believe in going the extra mile, and sometimes that means cycling more than 1,200 kilometres. We are incredibly proud to support our very own Richard Kelly as he takes on Le Tour Deponti, a remarkable charity bike ride from Rugby in the UK to Leipzig in Germany.

Richard is not just undertaking a physical challenge, he is cycling with a heartfelt purpose. His journey, covering approximately 1,266 kilometres through the UK, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Germany, is dedicated to raising awareness and vital funds for two causes that are very close to him. These are Papyrus – Prevention of Young Suicide and Overgate Hospice.

"I'm excited but also a little nervous about the journey ahead. Having support from my company, Deponti, along the route will be a great help," says Richard. "But knowing that every mile I pedal will contribute to Papyrus and Overgate Hospice makes it all worthwhile."

He is riding in memory of Jack, a friend of his 15-year-old son who sadly died by suicide earlier this year. He is also cycling in honour of Joe Kitcher, a close friend who passed away from a brain tumour. Joe received compassionate care from Overgate Hospice, which is currently seeking funds to expand its facilities in Yorkshire through the 'Big Build Project'.

Papyrus provides essential support through its suicide prevention helpline, HOPELINE247, which is staffed by trained advisors. Suicide is the leading cause of death for people aged 35 and under in the UK, and Richard is determined to make a difference.

At Deponti, we are not only cheering Richard on, we are standing firmly behind him. His dedication and compassion reflect the values we hold dear, and we encourage everyone to support his incredible effort.
